But first, a few deposits on every city official who didn’t get that sidewalk fixed.

Maybe she’s Sicilian and had an ancestor there when Harald Sigurdsson used flaming birds on the city. Had small birds from the city caught when they came out to the woods to feed. Had small pieces of tinder with wax and sulphur (essentially matches) tied to their feet and ignited before releasing them to fly back to their young in the town.He may have heard about the trick from a Russian friend. A Queen Olga used it a couple of hundred years earlier. You’ll remember Harold as the Dane who was killed by an arrow through his eye when King Harold Godwinson of England defeated him before going on to be defeated by William and got his own arrow through his eye at Hastings.

Don’t burn the town down before you sue them for every peanut they’ve got.

As a small child, I played hide the coin with my pet crow. One day, I cheated and placed the coin under a rock. The crow found it, but couldn’t reach it. An adult spectator lifted the rock, the crow retrieved it, and carried it up to the house gutter (2 stories). The moral – don’t under estimate the intelligence or ability of a crow.
