In middle school, our son came home one day pissed off. Seems the girls had been taken off to a special health assembly of their own, and they all came out with little brown paper bags. The refused to let the boys see what was in them, and the boys became convinced that the girls had received candy or some other special treat that they were refusing to share. They were outraged that the school actually sanctioned such discrimination.
We did some checking around and discovered the bags had contained an assortment of feminine hygiene products. We never told the boy.
