“No Child Left Behind” did little the help the slower kids who needed to repeat or be at a lower level but were forced to fail at a higher level. When I was in high school there was no stigma for taking Intro to Algebra in grade 12. In fact it was worse for those of us taking Calculus in grade 10 or 11.
