California, where I live, passed a law maybe 10 years ago, that hair salons, dry cleaners, and the like could not charge men and women different prices for the same service.
The price of the “businesswoman’s lunch” is not affected, of course….cos that’s just the name of the special and you’re not forced to order by gender.
