I have read that the Brits used to say “fall” but now only say “autumn” while America kept the old usage. This makes the “fall” sound to them like an archaic Americanism. Any comments from across the Big Pond?

Jake needs a poke with a rake… Maybe if Flo withheld a meal or two from him… he might see things differently.
After all she gave him breakfast… it’s not her fault they are called lunch and dinner and not “breakfast again” and “breakfast one more time"!
