Many different perspectives, including collecting and displaying things not to show where you’ve been. but because they look nice (as in this cartoon). But it does make me think of all the Europeans who have never been to the US wearing T-shirts that say “New York” or “NYC” and even “Athletic Department” of some “American” school that never existed.
