This strip confirms what I figured – New Jersey. Nobody else calls the beach the shore.
Having come from the Great Lakes Region…to me “The Shore” implies salt water. “The Beach” implies fresh water. Of course that’s IMO. 8-)
Not necessarily Kathy as people of a certain age call it the “shore” for the reasons Maizing stated in her comments.
