And it was the people who do not believe in evolution who started the whole descended from apes why are there still apes thing. As well ask why are there still protozoans.

Maybe, think of apes as a distant cousin, removed about a million times.

New species are evolving all the time, if there is a suitable niche it will prosper… in due time.

People tend to forget (ignore?) that humans (like orangutans, gorillas, and chimpanzees) are apes. If that humiliates anyone, just remember we are great apes.

I never considered evolution to be a real theory. But then on November 8th we somehow put into the first orange Orangutan who never fully evolved into being a human
