So leave him at home. Take a friend for company & let him wallow in his stick-in-the-mud-itis. Tho’ I have to say, some people are just not good travelers & can find plenty to keep them occupied & happy at home. Especially now, where books & the internet can show you so much of the world.
I was stationed in Scotland for 3 years and it was great. But there were those who whined about being there as if it would be forever. It was enlightening to see how others lived elsewhere.
