My late husband’s last words were “good night, I love you.”

Mom’s was “I’ll be very disappointed if I don’t see you in heaven.” I suppose she will be.

I feel the same as Jack. D’ya think it’s an omen?

Jack’s last word will be a snore in his sleep. On the couch.

I’m with Jack.

Redneck’s last words: “Hey Bubba! Watch this!”

WC Fields was on his deathbed reading a bible when a friend came in. He said to Fields, a well-known atheist, “Bill! You? Why are you reading a bible?” Fields said “I’m looking for loopholes.”

One of Fields’ lines was “I’d rather be dead than in Philadelphia.” I’m not sure if this is true but I heard his tombstone reads, “All in all, I’d rather be in Philadelphia.”

I am certainly looking forward to one set of “last words” captured in his obit — probably just more lies?

Maybe apocryphal: Director George Seaton visited actor Edmund Gwenn as he was dying. Seaton asked, “is dying hard?” and Gwenn replied, “Dying is easy, comedy is hard.”
