Happened to go to Panama City Florida at the same time as alot of spring breakers. Three aircraft flew along the coast line towing huge banners. A little noisy, but not bad, and definately did NOT ruin the view of the surf and horizon.C.
I used to live in Virginia Beach. Not only did they have airplanes with trailing banners, they had boats with giant electric signboards on them. This added the extra bonus of putrid smell to visual pollution. One of the many reasons I don’t live there any more.
Back in the ’60s, we got an open beach law (all between the water and vegetation line was public property). The corporate legislature repealed it a couple of sessions ago (although Parks would never admit it was the law) because some rich parasites found Hisacane Ike took away their vegetation, making them squat on public property. Now the only secure public beach in state is the Padre Island National Seashore and Romney probably has some James Watt ready to change that.

@ pouncingtiger: Unlimited power to the corporations. That’s what you’ll get if you vote for Romney.

So true! I was recently lying on Manhattan beach and 4 airplanes flew over with rum ads! It really made me want a mojito.

I’m glad to have a great view on my back yard (lots of plants and flowers in AZ with pool and tall separate waterfall).
