Instructions:1) Make a loop at the end of the rope. Leave approximately 86 inches of length between the end of the rope and the loop; length may vary with height of subject.2) Lay the rope flat and make it into an “U” shape. Take an end and bring it toward the bottom of the “U” shape, passing it under the doubled part of the rope.3) Wrap the free end around the noose thirteen times, winding to the top.4) Pull the free end of the loop through the top. Make sure there is a bit of extra rope left over. If there is not enough rope left over there is the chance that the knot could slip when you tighten it and rope may not reach over the gibbet.5) Tighten the knot. Hold the free end in place and pull on the end of the rope connected to the top.6) Place loop over subjects head and snug knot.7) Pull lever and stand back.
