Man: I'll do the neighborly thing and lend you the egg, but I'm putting my initials on it to be sure I get it back.
This is funny, but sad at the same time. I had a neighbor always borrowing eggs, sugar, whatever and never once returned any of it. I think she has planned 20% of her food budget to borrow from me with no intention of ever repaying any of it. I should have thought of something like this.
