When using an axe to screw in a screw, make sure the axe is very sharp and comes to a very fine âflat pointâ. It works best to have at least one hand on the blade.
I had a boss that would hammer in screws. He said the threads were only there for removal. He generally knew his job well (he was a âjust git it doneâ sorta person), but I had to stifle snide remarks frequently. Side note â that wouldnât work these days with the cheap crap ch1nezium screws available today.

Not so great for the task at hand, but really great at chopping up kibitzers.

Ummm, you just use the back of the axe to hammer (taking care not to hit yourself with the blade).

Looks manlier to other men when you screw in a screw with a manly axe

Itâs like 10,000 spoons when all you need is a knife.
