Connie: So, how's the new puppy fitting into the family, El? Elly: Fine. The girls love him! Connie: I found homes for Sera's other 3. I hated to see them go. Elly: I know...I wish we could have kept them all. Connie: It's our mothering instincts, El. When we see a tiny, struggling youngster, we want to nurture and protect and do all those wonderful, warm parenting things all over again! Elly: Yeah. ...It's a pain, isn't it.
