As you get older, your eyes lose their ability to focus, which makes reading and close-up work harder to do. Elizabeth: What did she say about your vision, Mom? Elly: ...I've gone from 20-20 to so-so.
Elly is almost 45 here. Presbyopia typically hits in the early-mid 40s. (hit me at 43). Reading glasses is all that were needed.
