Pamela: Elly? Connie! Connie: Hi, Pamela! Pamela: Look at you with all of your parcels! - I can't believe you're not finished yet!! I have all of my Christmas shopping done by October and wrapped by the first of December. My cards are done, and my Christmas dinner is in the freezer all ready for the holidays! Elly: Wow. Connie: That's wonderful, Pamela! Elly: Yes - I'm so impressed! Why do some people get ready for Christmas so darned early?! Connie: ...So they can spend the rest of December irritating people like us.
It never ceases to amaze me how people like Pamela are totally lacking in self-awareness of how irritating they are.
