Teacher: Now, we all know that Canadians come from many places around the world! What do we call a country that is populated by many different kinds of people!? Yes, April? April: MULTICLUTTERED! Teacher: That's right, April. We live in a multicultural country, which means that most of us have ancestors who came from other places! My ancestors, for example, came from Poland! Where did your ancestors come from, Duncan? Duncan: Barbados. Teacher: And Kim? Kim: Taiwan! Girl 1: I'm native Indian. My people have always lived here! Boy 1: We're from Pakistan! Girl 2: Ireland! Boy 2: Scotland! Teacher: So North Americans come from many cultures, and we come in many different colors, too! But, let's talk about something more important than than what makes us different! What are some of the things that make us all the SAME?! April: I know! I know! WE ALL GOTS BELLY BUTTONS! Teacher: Well - It's a start.
We’re all just people, after it all.
