Michael (writing): We found the original O'Connor homestead, but the house was destroyed long ago. We went to the place where Colm O'Connor, his mother and sister boarded the coffin ship and sailed for Canada. We've traced the family back 5 generations - and it's been an interesting exercise. People here keep mental records. You just have to know how to retrieve them.
