Elly: It would be so nice if April could learn to play an instrument, Dad... Michael started the trumpet and Elizabeth started piano...but I had to nag them every inch of the way... Maybe it's my fault they stopped. Maybe I should have just kept nagging and nagging them to practice. Maybe they were "born musicians!"...How is one to know? Not necessarily her fault - but if you have to nag someone to practice a musical instrument, they’re not a “born musician”!

I took piano lesson for 8 years, and mom never had to nag me to practice. She left it entirely up to me, so I did (most of the time). I even remember not practicing for. a whole week and when I was at my next lesson, my teacher said “well, you DID practice this week, didn’t you.” :P
