Jim: I bought April that guitar, John- and I started her playing- just the way I started Elly when she was young. We had music in our house in those days. Phil played the trumpet, I played the piano and Elly played the guitar.- Quite well, too. We weren't professionals. We played for the fun of it.- It was part of our existence! It was part of our soul! John: Why didn't Elly continue with the guitar? Jim: I wanted her to stop playing by ear and take lessons.
