For Better or For Worse by Lynn Johnston for November 28, 2002
Transcript:
John: How's April? Elly: She's fine. She wants to stay downstairs with her rabbit. She'll be so sad when he goes. John: It's all part of having pets, El. We outlive them. And saying goodbye is hard to do. Elly: April, perhaps you should go to bed, now. April: No, Mom, please. I want to be with him! Elly: Then, I want to be with you.
Goodbye is the hardest but funnily the time when you love your pet most. As you are letting go rather than selfishly denie what is best to them, keeping pet hurting.
