Noise: Chop chop chop chop chop chop chop April: Whatcha makin', Mom? Elly: Stew! April: Ew! There's shrooms in here! Elly: Shrooms? April: Mushrooms, ma! They are, like "shrooms." An, "rots" that's carrots, OK? Everybody shortens words, now. It's 'cause of the computer! Like we say 'puter, right? An' chat rooms use all kindsa shortcuts. "BF" is for "boyfriend", "BBL" is "Be Back Later", "CYA" is "See-Ya," "GMBO" is "Giggling My Butt Off", "Kit" is "Keep in Touch"... It's cool, ma! You gotta get with the program! Elly: Every time I "get with the program"... somebody changes the channel.
There was one time where one of my relatives was getting really sick, and so my grandmother wrote a text to my mom telling her that her aunt was snot doing well and ended the text with LOL. Only my grandmother thought it meant lots of love not laugh out loud.
