Elizabeth: Things will pick up, Michael. You told me yourself that freelance wasn't easy. You have some great clients - and you write so well! Michael: I guess. Elizabeth: Besides - if you got into real trouble, Dad would help you out! Michael: No way! I'm too old and too proud and too independent to go running to Dad, Elizabeth. He's the last person I'd ask for a loan. But, Mom gave me a thou - which I'll pay back with interest.
Pretty sure he asked Dad for money when they moved….
