Woman: How's your pet project, Liz? Elizabeth: I've been workign with Dylan every day on his math. We try and relate the questions to money... and he's doing much better. Woman: The penny's dropped, hasn't it? What happens when he gets into more advanced? Elizabeth: By then, I'm hoping he'll have the incentive to work harder! Woman: Incentive in the form of payment? Elizabeth: Incentive in the form of pride.
I agree with Elizabeth, here. In elementary school, I got a pretty even mix of As and Bs. My first semester in high school, I got all A’s. Then it became my goal to repeat that from then on out. (wasn’t always successful, but close).
