Any bets that it isn’t Ted’s?

It isn’t. Remember John forgot the map? Bet he also forgot which is left and which is right… Works with a lot of mirrors in his work….

now a days they would have a cell phone to contact ted, but alas, this was 20 years ago and most people did not have one.

I think they would be better off in a tent!

Well, it certainly will be an adventure. I’m sure they’ll laugh at it later… much later.

I won’t phase the kids at all. They’ll love it.

Ok, no cell phones then. Pay phones, yes but he is going to have to drive to find one or knock on a cabin door and ask to borrow the phone (people were not so paranoid then). (around the Lake to a cabin with lights, general store, ranger station, police station). John knows Ted, John knows that spoiled, spoiled Ted would NEVER stay in a place like this. Maybe he just doesn’t want to admit that he is wrong, wrong, wrong about this cabin. I know the kids will probably not mind but can’t he stand up and be a man for a change and admit he MIGHT have made a mistake?

I remember an Absolutely Fabulous episode where the ladies had a similar experience, whilst on vacation in rural in France. The actual destination was beautiful, but they stayed in a hovel. Hilarious! Especially when they find out just as they were leaving.
