Unfortunately you really can’t protect people like that. Connie would see something “good” in even that BC pig farmer….. since he is (or was) male and single.
Connie is a lousy judge of men, and continues to make lousy choices concerning men (and her child for that matter), because she is always too desperate to see straight. If a woman dressed as a man came walking down the street, Connie would run out the door and throw herself at the person. It’s all she ever does. It’s why men run as fast as they can from her.
Ted is such a jerk that Connie would get all starry eyed, and stalk him for years once he started treating her like a servant.
I think they would serve each other right, but I don’t remember a Connie/Ted realtionship.
Well, at least Phil can rest easier now that Connie has someone else to stalk for a change!
Meanwhile, when Ted’s true chauvinistic colors come shining through and yet another one of Connie’s relationships go south, Elly can tell her “I told you from before the beginning what kind of guy he was!!!”

i don’t think elly would introduce ANY of her female friends to ted - fastest way to lose them…
