I got my house de-cluttered & love it! I wish I had all the money I spent on all that stuff I thought I had to have, but didn’t.

If I ever cleared out that much, I’d downsize! I love the big rooms with all my art on the walls and tons of sunlight flooding the house, tho’, so I’ll probably never do it (up to my heirs).

We just moved and our son moved into our old house. He said to leave anything we didn’t want to take. That’s how we got rid of a lot of stuff. Haven’t asked if he’s regretting that statement – I don’t want to know.

Your fault for asking John. Some people never learn!

I hope she’s kidding. Unfortunately with children, the stuff just keeps coming. Some of it I will never part with, like the cards they make me or the art they make at school, but I don’t need to have my house in a decorating magazine anyway.

95% of my fathers household stuff was left at the curb when we moved him to a “residential hotel”. The neighbor had a huge yard sale – I think she got less than $100. Sometimes it is just junk, don’t kill yourself over it.

We did a major declutter when we moved. All of the stuff we had in the old house certainly wouldn’t fit here! We kept the trash men and the Salvation Army busy for a while there.

When decluttering, ask yourself “Where did I buy this”and just not go there anymore.Guess which —-Mart I quit shopping at:

“‘’Do you want it, or do you need it?’ That’s how I TRY to shop now :)”Being 78 and having a husband who is agitating to move to a condo and a daughter living elsewhere who is a hoarder. helps put the kibosh on untrammeled shopping.

I cleared out the clutter in my office last summer and I’ve never felt better. Looking forward to tackling other areas of my house THIS summer!
