I remember my daughter getting her ears pierced….she screamed so loud and then wouldn’t let the woman pierce the other one. We went home with one. It took her until the next day to make up her mind to go back and do the other one. Lizzie rocks!

I was at the dentist, a 9 year old girl was getting her teeth cleaned. She was screaming so much it was funny. I mean for the whole 1/2 hour or so. I don’t think she’ll be a candidate for piercings.

I remember my own daughter wanting her ears pierce I also told her she needed to wait. Just so happens she was sick just recovering she found out where she could get her ears done and gave me no choice she did like Elizabeth set nice got her ears done and was happy. Since then my daughter had several more piercings done.

What a good girl! She’s a good role model for being so brave. She knew what she wanted, and she did it.

In Boot -Camp ,was waiting in the hall in the infirmary, and heard a tremendous screaming and cries of agony, Caught a glimpse of some medics wrestling with a guy in a chair. after a while one of them came out, sweating and exhausted. He said to me" I Never saw anyone with a Lower threshold of pain"…Seems they were working on the guys foot….He had an Ingrown Toe Nail….

I pierced my own ears using ice cubes to numb the lobes and a sewing needle to make the holes. Never had a problem!

I am in my late 40s, and I have NEVER had my ears pierced. I just don’t want to. My own mother couldn’t convince me to pierce my ears. Earrings just don’t interest me.I have always been the odd one in the family…

Don’t cry, Elizabeth… Let your mother do it for you!

In some states, a girl can get an abortion without knowledge or consent of parents, but need signed permision for ear piercing!Living near the Missouri-Illinois-Iowa junction, it’s a simple matter to thwart local laws. Someone was doing genealogical research and couldn’t find marrige license for an ancestor. No problem, just check the courthouses in NE Missouri – where many Illinois teens went due to lower age limits. (One of my sisters went to Hannibal, Mo.)

Funny, never had the urge to get my ears pierced. Clip-ons are just fine, and particularly these days as findings are available to convert pierced earrings into clipons. Can find thousands of earrings on Etsy, and they’re nicer than anything in the stores.

-Wow another hater of those of us born after World War II, huh. Don’t worry. We’ll be dead soon, thanks to Obamacare…

I remember getting my ears pierced — my aunt took me when I was six. We went to the mall and then afterwards we went and had rootbeer floats at the food court.
