a. Elly Patterson is at the same level Gayle is. In spite of having a husband and children, Elly has not progressed past the self-knowledge she had as a teenager.
It never gets better, no matter how old you are.
c. She should have gotten advice from someone else than Elly.
Self knowledge is great as far as it goes, but the moment we are satisfied with who,and what we are, stagnation sets in,bringing growth to a grinding halt. So,I’m still a work in progress.

Lynn’s Notes:Interesting to read this now. I am 69 and I still look in the mirror and wonder who the heck is staring back at me!

I guess the moral for Gayle is:
a. Elly Patterson is at the same level Gayle is. In spite of having a husband and children, Elly has not progressed past the self-knowledge she had as a teenager.
It never gets better, no matter how old you are.c. She should have gotten advice from someone else than Elly.
