Roger: I have an idea. How's this for a solution?... If you'll let me blow a chunk of our savings on that new golf club, I'll let you blow an equal amount on something frivolous that you want. Andy: Roger, you're missing the point entirely! The issue is whether we should dip into our savings, period. Not whether or not we're wasting the money equitably! Roger: It's not fair. You were a lot more irresponsible when we first started dating. Andy: I was 21 years old!
