Transcript:
Paige: Nicole, what if we get caught. Nicole: We aren't going to get caught. Paige: What if our parents find out? Nicole: They aren't going to find out. Paige: What if we go through life tortured by the knowledge that we stole a CD from this store? Nicole: Paige, this is a mall. In two months, this store won't even be here. Paige: Ah, the complicated ethics of the 1990s. Nicole: Think of this as one less item they'll have to bother liquidating.

Pretty sure this is a rerun. And a lazy one at that. “The ethics of the 1990’s” in a strip run in 2000.

There have been a couple reruns, very disorienting, I am reading through the whole archive and was suddenly like, I was so sure I read this before in order… or did i read it at some other time….

Sometimes cartoonists take breaks, guys. What’ll the newspaper do, have a blank spot in the funnies for a week or put in some reruns that a fair portion of the audience actually hadn’t read yet?

“Okay, Amend wanted a week off, let’s just rerun an arc he did a few years back. I mean, it will only be noticeable if someone will, like, collect all strips we printed on specific days. And even then, nobody will care about that anyway. unless they’ll binge-read all of them since the start. That will never happen!” ~someone, ca. 20 years ago
