Jason: Since when do you wear glasses, Eileen? Eileen: It's a costume, can't you tell? I'm dressing up this week in anticipation of the movie every book fan has been waiting like crazy to see! Jason: "The Lord of the Rings" doesn't come out until NEXT month, doofus. Besides, what Tolkien character sports that Harry Potter eyewear? Eileen: Why do I bother with these muggles?

LOTR FTW. I think Lord of the Rings is better, but Harry Potter is more known.

As entertaining as J. K. Rowling’s work is, she didn’t create the word Muggle. Roald Dahl did; two of his books, The Twits and The Enormous Crocodile, feature a monkey named Muggle-Wump. The point is, Jason should read and watch what he enjoys BECAUSE he enjoys it, not because of what’s “in”. Eileen and everybody else should do the same. It’s like in Clarissa Explains It All, when Jill, the editor of Cheeky Magazine, criticizes her floral leggings. “Well, I don’t care what you OR Cheeky thinks! I wear what I wear because…I like it, not because somebody tells me what’s ‘in’!”, Clarissa tells her.
