Peter: Have I ever told you, sir, how much this job means to me? How grateful I am for the opportunity to be here? How thankful I am to be part of the Pavilionplex-22 team? Boss: Pretty much every day of this heat wave, yes. Peter: Could you duck a little? You're blocking the AC vent.

I don’t know about heat waves, but I know from personal experience that working in a movie theater during the summer CAN be hot, and after about an hour, I’m sweating a lot and going to the drinking fountain more often so that I don’t dry out.

As a resident of Phoenix, I can relate to this. Here, movie theatres are one of the most popular places to go in summer to get out of the heat.

As a teenager I worked a food concession at an amusement park. Part of my job was stocking the forzen goods in a walk-in freezer. I was the only kid with frostbite in July.
