Andy: Roger, the sweetie, don't be depressed just because some guy you lorded over in college is now a multi-gajillionaire. With his own jet. And six houses. And a yacht. And a private island. I mean, look at what you've got: An adoring wife... loving children... how's it get better than that? Roger: You left out his supermodel girlfriend. Andy: I repeat, you have a wife... loving children...

that guy is investigated by sec for insider trading, by the fbi for money laundering. used to work for aig, lehman brothers, bear stearns, lost his jet, six houses, yacht, private island, supermodel girlfriend, and being hunted by the south american drug lords, and african warlords. interpol wants him on sex charges, human trafficking. icc wants him on war crimes and blood diamonds and genocide.

Nice sentiment, JanuAaronry. If we had a Gajillion dollars, the Mrs. and I would probably stay right where we are. I once heard the Dalai Lama had visited the L.A. area and toured a few mansions. He was said to have cringed and said, “these places are so lonely and empty.”

Roger, take a hint, shut your mouth, and be grateful before Andy decks you a new one.

On his death bed, the Gajillionaire’s girlfriend de jeur will be rubbing her hands in glee at the thought of getting all his money. On his death bed, Roger’s wife and kids will be crying at the thought of losing him. You really think at that point you would want to trade places with him???

When I was little and seeing all kinds of stuff the folks said we couldn’t afford, I asked my dad why we weren’t rich. He told me he had considered that path as a young man. He knew with hard work and the appropriate attitude he could have made lots of money, but the sacrifice of everything else was far too great a cost. I think he chose the right path now.

You would have enough money to have someone clean it up for you.

Next door neighbor moved in last year … he wanted to move from huge 2 story, 5 bedroom house to the smaller 1 story 2 bedroom place after his adult kids moved out – rents out the other still … huge lots in our neighborhood – 1/2 to 2 acres each … huge parking in front for his RV deluxe motorcoach (50 ft long) – worth $800K but he bought it for $200K … he doesn’t hold his $$ over anyone – just a decent guy who made it big and his business thrives – does those screen covers you see in restaurant outdoor patios like Wendys and Burger King. He gives back by helping other community groups in time and money. If you don’t give, you won’t get. I’m learning, too.
