Andy: Tomorrow is Paige's first day of High School. Peter: I know. Andy: She's going to be a freshman, and you're going to be a junior. Do you know what that means? Peter: Absolutely. Now I get to torment her at home and at school. Andy: It means I'm counting on you to watch out for her. Peter: No one torments her but me. Got it.

Remember when they didn’t start school until the day after Labor Day? Now they start it a week earlier so the teachers can all get paid for the Labor Day holiday off!

My youngest sister has already started high school two weeks ago, and if anyone tries to mess with her, then they’ll end up regretting it.

My brother is going back Wednesday. The day after Labor day is a freshman-only day at my high school; my brother will be a sophomore this year. I may or may not be going back to community college this year, but if I do, I don’t start until the 24th.

@djc928, are you from St. Joe county? I always loved getting a day off school to go to the fair. I was in band and we usually got another day (or at least 1/2 day) off so we could be the entertainment between races at the harness racing track. My 4H friends with sheep, cattle & pigs got the whole week off.Best county fair anywhere!

Way back in the day we moved in the middle of the school year, I went from a disctrict that started in Aug and got out in May to one that started the day after Labor Day and got out in June. I quite litteraly got stuck in school 2 extra weeks, boy was I mad!! O/c now they start the 1st week in Aug and let out the 2nd week of June…..

Where I went to school (near Atlanta, GA), school started around mid-August and let out at the end of May. Now, though, I’ve heard they start around the first week of August, and let out between mid- and late-May. Sheesh—have some mercy, I say!

First, Paige starts High School for the first time every year.
Second, I’m with Peter on this one. No one torments my sister but me.

I’ve always hated the idea that older students are allowed or even required to torment younger ones. It’s horrid
