We’ve settled on our Thanksgiving menu this year: seasoned broiled swordfish steaks, butter garlic rice, corn, green beans (NOT in a casserole), yams with brown sugar, cranberry sauce, black olives (placed between my husband & older daughter), rolls & butter. For dessert, a choice between pumpkin or chocolate cream pies.
Since we can’t have turkey due to my husband’s allergy, people always ask us, “If you can’t have turkey, what DO you have?” I always answer, “Whatever we want.”
I was introduced to different way for sweet potatoes not with marshmallows but with a crumb topping only I add sliced almonds. Brother-in-law smoking turkey in dome smoker.
