I am banned from running the dishwasher and the washing machine. I don’t do it “right.”
Even when my wife was scootering around with a broken ankle, I schlepped the clothes to and from the washing machine but only she got to play with the controls.
Fortunately, when the wife is gone, I clean the dishes as I use them.
Popular culture seems to insist on and revel in portraying husbands and fathers as incompetent boobs unable to do ANYTHING right, and in desperate need of the wise, smart Woman of the House to be able to function.

I hate to know how Jason does a dishwasher. (I also hope how Roger presently loaded a dishwasher isn’t the same way he did back in college.)

For some things, there’s just no excuse.

In our family, the men do the dishes but the women do the laundry! See Saturday’s strip for details….
