When I was 19, I could eat 6 full meals a day. Both my sons had big appetites during their teen years.
My younger son hung out with five of his teammates from his football team. They called themselves “The Six Pack.” We would call the other parents: they just left here and are heading your way. It was like telegraphing ahead, “The locusts are coming, get your crop in now, they just cleaned us out.”

eleven sandwiches in one brown paper bag… wow (was Peter expecting — oh, I don’t know — five hundred sandwiches?)

I like how the food fight sign keeps changing. Why can Andy figure out how to prepare normal sandwiches for lunch, but is so clueless about dinner?

I used to be just about that hungry when I was in high school and on the wrestling team followed by doing a paper route on a bicycle.

I would think that neither kid would choose to eat lunch with his / her sibling at school.

Just be happy there are no tofu or eggplant sandwiches (although eggplant parm sandwiches are incredible).

When my great-nephew was 3, my niece resigned herself to having to get a 2nd job in order to feed him.
