Teach those boys how to read a map! I was old enough to read but couldn’t figure out how my parents used them to navigate, so I asked for a lesson. My inner pirate was very happy.

So many communities are named after the things they destroyed when they were built. Walnut Creek, Oakland, Redwood City come to mind…
Suburban streets are often named after the natural features that were destroyed while creating the suburban street.
Couldn’t see the “i” in Buick at first. Was I confused!
