@Teh, I checked out dailyink and see that they have Vintage Mandrake Sunday strips. As samples, I was able to read 4 or 5 strips from Feb-Mar, 1939, but they seemed to be a different storyline than the one (1) strip that has been on azcentral 4 times. If I try to see it again, it just goes back to Saturday. We’ll see what happens tomorrow.
NOVEMBER 4PHANTOM: P. goes SCUBA diving! I think he’s in waters off Rhodia (see Oct. 14 strip).JUDGE PARKER: “Where’s Avery?” “Take it easy Bea!” I continue to predict that ♥ romance ♥ is afoot.
I didn’t want to comment early this morning because I was waiting for a new FT en espanol strip to come up. Since there is none, here goes:
APT3G: I hate when people blame liquor for whatever they have done. If alcohol clouds one’s judgment, they should just completely refrain from drinking.
REX MORGAN: Oner additional thing I like about Rex Morgan is thay African Americans are depicted (and drawn!) in a non-stereotypical way.
MARY WORTH: Is this thing between Dawn and Jim gonna develop romanticallly, or is Dawn just practicing social work?
my library has a new copy of a book (12″ × 18″) “FLASH GORDON AND JUNGLE JIM” the second in a 4-vol. series with every Sunday page from 6/7/1936-3/5/1939. I’m fortunate to be the first to read it!
Falcons isn’t starting till like 8:30, soooooooooooooo I’ll have to read about the out come on Mon. @(7-0) the" dirty birds" are lookin’ good so far this year.
@ teh- Steelers and Giants should be a nail biter…
Rex- Rex may not want all the publicity personally but may not be able to resist “help to save others”.@Arye – I agree with your statement about non-sterotypical depictions.Judge – Bea does seem especially concerned about Avery. Is Bubba concerned about the hummer attracting attention to his operation or is he just being helpful?Prince Valiant – Val and Gawain are faking being drunk. They will remain in full control of their faculties.Phantom -looks for more of the ship that the bell came from.
