There is enough food in the world to feed everyone. However, distribution issues and greed (especially greed or at least the lack of political will) prevents universal nutrition.

Fact: According to U.S. Government regulations: there are no people in the United States who suffer malnutrition. That is not an accepted diagnosis for Medicare or Medicaid or any other government-funded health care plan. Only State Department recognized refugees from third-world countries can be diagnosed with malnutrition.

Every day worldwide, about 10,000 people die of starvation. And every day, the United States throws out 200,000 tons of food.

I recently read “about 15.9 percent of Italian children live in relative poverty, according to UNICEF.”

Did anyone else see 60 Minutes last night with the segment on the starvation in Yemen because the Saudi’s have blocked food from getting in?

The more we keep feeding them the more they reproduce, so there will always be new generations of the poor. Sad.

You may think it’s funny; but probably not. Since you’ve probably never missed a meal, it’s pathetic.

Maybe also include something about not making so many babies?

If a woman does not have enough body fat (not mass), she will not ovulate. That is not the preferred method of birth control. Nature has a cruel way of dealing with the situation.
