"Mrs. Olsen has lipstick on her butt!" USAF "Then quit." "If I could quit because I was tired of a joke, I'd have quit because I bark like a colicky sea lion."
I don’t get the “lipstick” joke, but I do feel very sorry for the lady. I’m so glad I never started. It’s hard enough to not mainline caffeine, much less try and quit something like smoking. Lost Mom to cancer, and she tried several times to quit smoking. Nothing like writing your own death warrant daily, KNOWING it, and still feeling overwhelming compulsion to do it.
I smoked for 25 years. Laid them down and quit ‘cold turkey’ 34 years ago. The difference between someone that tries to quit and someone that is successful? Trying isn’t quitting. When you decide it’s over, then it’s over. If you’re going to TRY to quit, failure looms!
