Frazz by Jef Mallett for April 16, 2006
Transcript:
Mr. Spaetzle: More pain at the gas station. Frazz: Ride a bicycle. Mr. Spaetzle: Some of us aren't in a position to bike to work. Frazz: No, no. Just bike. When you're the motor, you learn pretty quickly what burns the most energy. High speeds, sure. Duh. But accelerations even more. Accelerating uphill? Better make it worth something. Bad aerodynamics? All cost, no benefit. Everything I know about fuel economy, I learned on a bike. Mr. Spaetzle: And what do you learn from driving across the state to a different race every weekend? Frazz: Mostly that I need to do more intervals.
