If that’s our view now, of something so profoundly IMPORTANT then, just think of what a “now” in 200+ hears will think of the IMPORTANT in “then” that is our now.(Those are fun, folks. Thanks!)

Difference between Americans and British: Americans think 200 years is a long time, and British think 200 miles is a long way.

I think the point was that we now have representation while paying our taxes. Not necessarily GOOD representation, but representation.
