Nice link, CoBass. I certainly see Calvin’s influence in Frazz (both in appearance and personality), but there are enough differences that I prefer to let Frazz be the adult version of himself, not of Calvin.
My conception of a grown-up Calvin and Susie is based on those episodes Watterson drew as parodies of “soap opera” strips, when they were plaing “House” or “Doctor.” (I don’t know if they ever played “Doctor House”, but come to think of it, THAT’S very close to the personality I’d imagine from an adult Calvin…)
