Student: How come our hardest homework is always due on Tuesdays? Mr. Burke: You do your best work on Monday nights. Am I right? Student: Mr. Burke is a genius, but I can't figure him out. Frazz: Monday night is when your dad bogarts the TV to watch football.
The phrase “to bogart” is hardly new. I first heard it used in the movie Easy Rider. Specifically the song “Don’t bogart that joint my friend” by The Fraternity of Man.
