Mrs. Olsen: I lost the answer key to yesterday's quiz, so I'm just giving everybody a B. Caulfield: That's okay, Mrs. Olsen. Sometimes the big lesson of school is getting accustomed to fallible people in positions of authority while you learn as much as you can on your own. Mrs. Olsen: I learned something interesting today. Frazz: In the classroom or on your own?
You know, I love Jeff, but he’s never been a teacher….Not having the answer key is no problem at all. Just ask a couple of the A students what the answers are….Even if a couple are wrong, (And believe me, other students will call them out on it!), it will stimulate discussion of why, and every one will learn more than they would have in the first place……BTW, just because you are the teacher doesn’t mean you can’t be humble at times like that…It’s your job as a teacher to show how to react and recover from such things…You think you’re teaching math, science or Language arts….? What you are really doing is modeling how to live a life…You’re on stage, everybody in the room is looking at you…If you can’t be real when you mess up, stay away from teaching……Kids are screwed up enough already….
