Girl: Mrs. Olsen said she has bunions! Frazz: I don't doubt it. girl: Shouldn't we be giggling uncontrollably? Frazz: Bunions don't have anything to do with buns. girl: I thought maybe they were peeling away in layers.
A third – 53 years old, barefoot most often during the summer, and wearing comfortable shoes the rest of the time, even if they’re dress shoes. Treat your feet right, they’ll treat you right.
57 (58 in 2 weeks) and never been a slave to shoe fashion. Comfy flats, sneakers and barefoot whenever possible. I have friends who wore the high-heeled, pointy-toed torture devices and now are having surgery to help undo all the damage done. Yuck!
64 and a serious bare-footer for two years now, wearing zero gravity shoes (they actually have wide toe boxes!) or leather soled sandals whenever necessary. No more callouses and my feet love me. Read Born to Run by Christopher McDougall…
Whilst it’s true that bunions are often caused by ill-fitting shoes, they can also occur in people who have always cared for their feet… Like yours truly, who has always worn flat, supportive, quality footwear. So don’t be too smug; injury or genetics may yet catch up with you.

Agreed! 48 year old female feet here that would make a foot fetishist’s day! Lol

Count me in with the comfy shoes and the no-problem feet. And thanks to Jef for an actual laugh from today’s commix.

At the kids’ age, I would’ve had a mental image of Mrs. Olsen surrounded by giant lumberjacks.

If someone finds out how to have buns peel off in layers, that someone will be quite rich!
