Or personality disorder. Or OCD. Or, I guess it depends on the kinds of mistakes you’re making.

There’s an adage: “in life, the lesson often comes after the test.”

In my own life, I have found that many lessons come via good old fashioned stoopidity! ;)

Not OCD. It is CDO. I prefer the letters arranged alphabetically as God intended.

I always have to look up acronyms. I though that OCD was Old Coots Disorder, which my younger friends tell me I have.

most of what i’ve learned has been from mistakes i’ve made. this happens a lot in playing music. often a mistake will lead to more interesting music. in fact i’ve read two how-to-improvise books that go into this in detail. one even had a two page guide on various ways of making mistakes for the overly trained who had difficulty making them. “mistakes are the portals of discovery”- james joyce, 1882-1941. died the year dylan was born. and dick cheney. and my kid sister. who is a great-grandmother.

Isn’t the notion of continuing to make the same mistake over and over again the same as Albert Einstein’s definition of insanity?
